 Happy Halloween! Today we started the new unit. Tonight's homework is to write the five words we covered in class 5x each, write the definition, and draw a picture for each word.  Today we had the unit test for Good-Bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong. The tests have been returned; please sign them and return them on Monday.  This weekend's homework is to correct the mistakes on the test.

 Today we reviewed the story, vocabulary and phonics for the story Good-Bye, 382 Shin Dang Dong. The students need to know the vocabulary and phonics from the past two weeks for the test tomorrow, as well as basic story details.  Tonight's homework is to do the vocabulary worksheet; the answers are below.

 Today we reviewed the vocabulary from last week, finished the story, continued with this week's new vocabulary, and worked on the phonics words in RWN. Tonight's homework is to write vocabulary words 6-10 five times each, and to write the definition for each word  and draw a picture for each word.

We worked on page 341 in RWN in class. If they did not finish it in class, they need to finish it at home.  Today we took the quiz, and started reading the new story. Please sign and return the quizzes on Monday. This weekend's homework is to correct the quizzes.

 Today we reviewed the vocabulary and went over the phonics words. There will be a spelling quiz tomorrow. It will cover this week's vocabulary words. Tonight's homework is to study for the quiz, and to finish page 338 in the RWN if they didn't finish it in class.

 We did not have class today because of the field trip. The students can turn in Tuesday's homework tomorrow. We will have a spelling quiz on Friday.

 Today we reviewed some of the problem sections from the written exam. The students' homework is to do the vocabulary review worksheet. The Oral Exam was sent home. Please sign it and return it. If your student did not give me a communication book, I did not send the exam home. I will return the exam the next time I receive a communication book.

Tonight's homework is to study the vocabulary and  phonics from, and to know the stories for, The Man Who Invented Basketball and Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest.  Today we took the Oral exam. The listening exams have been graded and returned. Please sign them and return them on Tuesday. This weekend's homework is to correct the listening exam, and to study for the Written exam next week. If your student did not bring an exam home, they did not bring their communication book to school. I'll send the exams home when they next bring their communication books to school.

 Today we continued reviewing for the exams. Tomorrow the students will take the oral exam. Their homework tonight is to review pages 23 and 57 in Reading Street. When it is their turn to test, they can choose the page they are more comfortable reading. They will be graded on their expression when speaking, how fluently and smoothly they read, the speed they read at, and how accurately they pronounce and read the words.

 This morning the students took the listening exam in homeroom. In class, we reviewed the reading for the oral exams. Tonight's homework is to practice the reading on Reading Street pages 23 and 57. The students can choose whichever one they are more comfortable with for the Oral Exam.

 Today we reviewed for the listening exam tomorrow. The students will need to recognize the vocabulary words and phonics words, and choose the words they hear, as well as knowing the meanings of the words.  The Oral Exam will be held later this week. The students will have to read to me from Reading Street. They will have a choice of pages, either page 23 or page 57, depending on whichever page they feel more comfortable reading. We will go over it again in our Wednesday Class.
