 Today we continued reviewing for the exams. We reviewed the vocabulary from The Man Who Invented Basketball, with a focus on matching the words with their definitions. We did two worksheets in class matching the words to the definitions. This weekend's homework is to correct the worksheets, and to study for the exams. The exam scope was sent home today.  This week we will be reviewing the previous two units before our exams starting next week.  Today we had the unit test for Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest. The quiz was returned today, please sign it and send it back next Monday.  Today we finished the new vocabulary, finished the story, and finished r controlled vowels. Tonight's homework is to write words 11-15 five times, write the definition, and draw a picture for each word. If the students did not finish pages 263 qnd 267 in the RWN, please finish them. We have the unit test tomorrow, so please study for it. It will be on the vocabulary, r- controlled vowels, and some basic knowledge of the story.

 Unfortunately, we did not have class today due to the air raid and earthquake drills that we had this morning.  There is no homework for tonight.

 Today we continued working with the new vocabulary, and practiced spelling the vocabulary we had already learned. We worked in the RWN in class; not all of the students finished, so if they did not finish it is part of their homework.  We had the first quiz today.  For homework, the students need to correct the quiz, and write each word they spelled wrong three times each.
